Rio was inspired by the Rio Grande that bordered the farm where I was raised. The river carved away at rock faces creating pools lined with the marks of the seasonal water heights. By water etching by hand, this handmade ceramic tile uses a technique that mimics the same erosion of earth seen along many waterways. 6×18.5cm.
